Just a solid selection for an overnight stop in Beccles with good price-value balance. Despite the creaky floors, the room was cozy and comfortable. It's best to ask for a room on a lower level if you're a light sleeper.

spacious room overlooking the river, lovely conservatory for breakfast, appealing terrace for drinks
Facilities could use some upgrades!!! A coffee machine, bottled water, and a fridge could elevate guest comfort. the worn-out decoration and creaky floors were less than ideal for relaxation!!!

I had a lovely stay at Waveney House. The location right on the river made for beautiful views, especially while dining. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The room, a Deluxe Double Room, felt spacious and was kept impeccably clean. Breakfast offered a good selection, which I enjoyed. I noticed some noise from adjacent rooms, making it tough to get a solid night's sleep. The decor in the room felt a bit tired and could use some refreshing. Despite these issues, the atmosphere of the dining area and the view made it a relaxing getaway.

Comfortable stay with stunning views
We enjoyed two nights in a lovely room with picturesque river views. The terrace was perfect for evening drinks, but the service could improve. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were welcoming. Guests with mobility issues should note the absence of an elevator.

I had a lovely 2-night stay in a Deluxe Double Room and enjoyed relaxing on the scenic terrace by the river and the cozy garden area. Just a heads up, it would be nice if there was a little room service as it was a bit inconvenient to have to ask for more coffee or tea. I really enjoyed my time and would recommend it for a peaceful getaway! 😊

The room was delightful, featuring charming exposed beams and a picturesque river view. Breakfast included a variety of choices and was freshly cooked to order, though the limited fruit selection could be improved. Service was friendly, and the overall dining experience was enhanced by lovely surroundings. the restaurant was uncomfortably cold during the visit, which detracted from the enjoyment of an otherwise pleasant evening.
